I can't help you with an actual canning recipe. While we can many different things successfully I haven't found a pickle recipe that works for me. They always come out soft and not very good. I now just make refrigerator pickles, they last for several weeks and taste good. I hope someone comes along with some good advice for you (and me). If you are interested I use the recipe at the link below for refrigerator pickles. Pickle Recipe

Probably not what you're wanting as it's not totally homemade, but they're better than any homemade recipe I've found.
Cut your cukes. I prefer slices, like for burgers, but spears work too. Discard the blossom end. Pack the raw cukes into pint or quart jars. Note: if your cukes were in the fridge, let them warm up to room temp... you don't need any bursting jars from pouring hot brine on cold cukes. Add a half of a not-too-hot hot pepper (optional).
While you're doing all that, bring your brine to a boil. Here's where the cheating part is... I use Mrs. Wages Kosher dill pickle mix and follow the directions on the bag. Once it's boiling, pour into the jars, one jar at a time, wiping the rim, putting on the two piece lid, and inverting the jar before pouring the boiling brine into the next jar. Leave the jars upside down overnight. That's it. guaranteed crispy and so long as the jar seals, good on the shelf for years.
If you have a brine recipe you like you can use it instead of the Mrs. Wages.
Gotta find a way, a better way, I'd better wait
Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they're not after you

Web sites have lots of good refrigerator recipies. They say 4 months or so but I have had them out to 7-8 months and they held up well and were good. I too have issues with canning and refrigerator pickles are easy. All sorts of recipies for both types you want.

Have never made a pickle I was happy with, switched to a few varieties of refrigerator pickles and never looked back. We are days away from.being inundated with cukes here too, lol.

My Aunt Jane's refrigerator pickles recipe:
Mix 1 cup sugar with 1 cup white vinegar and 1 tablespoon water, and pour over thinly sliced cucumber's and white onions to cover., let sit in fridge for a day or 2 if you can wait that long. LOL I have added course ground black pepper and/or dill for variety.
When I buy a jar of Clauson's pickles, when the pickles are gone, I add thinly sliced cuke's to the juice, and let set in frig for a few days, I have repeated several times with good results, but the flavor will diminish with each time.
Just for fun, buy some can's of pickled Beets and mix in sliced onions!
