Good lad.

What all does your state require to be on the tag? I ordered 100 and could have up to 3 lines engraved. With shipping it was still under $30.
I wrap mine around the chain. Ain’t lost one yet. Even wired some to my DP’s and ain’t lost them yet either.

That’s all GA requires is your trapping number. I’m not putting my address for everyone to see. DNR can pull up my number and get all the info they need.

WI is name and address or DNR#

I run

Pete dnr#
Jack dnr#
cell #

your dnr# never changes here , addresses change all the time and you tell everyone where you live.

if you have anyone else who traps with you like a brother or parent , put their number on your tag also

In WI your tag needs to be on the trap to legally check it , that may not be the case in other states. it is not a bad idea to have someone else who can run a check for you , we all get sick some times.

Attach to base with hammer drive rivet.
Or keep feeding them VIA the chains.
And chance Mr. Green Jeans finding a trap
with tag chewed off. $$

When I was a kid I made them in shop class.
Never forgot the sound of aluminum gutter
stock clinking on the chain in the morning.

The State ID # is good because no need to change
tags every time you change address.

here is another source
https://traptags.com/product/copper-trap-tags/

I have used these the last 11-12 years , I am ready to order more , don't think I have lost one off the swivel yet
some where the trap is a rusted mess are still legible

here if you look close you can see how I wrap them this was a suggestion from one of the members here years ago and it has served me well

[Linked Image]

for the double stake plates if the ground is very solid one down through is fine for coon , possum , skunk

but if you have soil where you push the stakes in by hand never touching the hammer , 2 hold well crossed
