Why would they be to big. If you think they are just wrap around the chain. Eric

not aware of any states having a maximum size limit
some may have a minimum size requirement.

I think everyone worries about tags a lot more than needed in the beggining

they need to be there but not much more than a you have to have your #on them and they have to be attached

most of us just wrap them around a swivel or link of chain.

I'm worried about a yote being scared about it or a coon tearing off coz it sees it

If a coyote sees the tag that's the least of its worries and raccoons tear everything off traps when they can.

Opossums take them off of the traps and make them into "shivs" to use against unwary trappers.

If it's under the dirt, how's the yote gonna see it?

I run most all my tags on the swivel right above my double stake plate , I haven't lost any yet , it isn't something they pull at much , I have seen a little digging at the stakes but not unwrapping tags from the swivel that they typically wrap a ball of tall grass around

I do make sure when I wrap them that the last bit of the tag in in the middle inside , then I give it a little squeeze with a pliers

I am sure some day I will lose one.

you could paint your traps hot pink and nothing sees them when you cover them in dirt.

NT,do you like to read books or do you go on u tube.
I think some books on trapping would be much better for you to learn from than utube.Easier for reference.
