Lily pads are a constant problem in my pond. Spraying and submersible herbicides are near worthless. Does anyone have experience with an aquatic rake? Something you toss out from shore and haul it back to rip out the plants by their roots??

Only a short term fix, they will come right back.

You aren’t going to rip out lily pads by hand. And like mentioned, they just grow right back. Hit them hard with a good herbicide. Maybe more than once.

Tried herbicides many times. It slows them down but never kills them. Even with multiple applications, they always come back.

Which ones have you tried? I’m don’t know all that much about them, but I know you won’t pull them by hand. And like mentioned, even if you did, they would just come right back.

I’ve sprayed the top water leaves with Tsunami DQ. I coupled this with submerged sacks of slow release Hydrothol granules to target the root area.

aqua-neat, kills roots also, however they will come back from seeds previously deposited in the water, takes 3-4 seasons to eradicate them
