There is a break for seniors in Virginia. I believe the age is 65. I have to wait for a few years yet to take advantage of it.

At 65 you get Kentucky Hunting /Fishing combo Deer permit spring and fall Turkey permit deer permit state waterfowl stamp and trout stamp for $12

Under 16 and over 65 no permits,. except for special tags, Deer, Turkey etc. I bought a Lifetime Combo for $70 at 65, includes everything except trapping and the Fed crap for waterfowl.
FWIW: Illinois gives 10% Disabled Vets a free lifetime. Inquire at any state Veterans Affairs office.

Giving away licenses free to old people who probably can afford them seems rather silly.

Hunting, trapping and fishing here is around $90 for me they have a convenient fees added when you do it yourself on line never understood that fee. Deer tag $45, anterless $20, elk draw tag $175 plus years of $10 preference points. A once in a lifetime in the park elk tag was $300 years ago not sure what they are now.

At 65:
One time $25 senior license covers me for the rest of my life
For this senior license every year I get at no charge:
3 bear
4 does
3 bucks
4 turkey
Free fishing
Free hunting of all other game
Free trapping

Actually Nessie, I think we should give the discount to the 30 year old guy with a wife and two kids.

I don't know what kind of discounts we get cause I don't look for them. I'm almost old enough to qualify for senior discounts, I think I'll pass.

I took mine. What we get in return for our license fees, as much as I have spent on them, I got no problem looking myself in the eye when I shave of a morning.
