I would say outdoors. That way if you get the urge to run you can just take off.

Our daughter was married outdoors. We were married in church. We live in an unincorperated village and there are 2 old dairy barns within 1 mile of our house converted in to wedding and celebration event venues and they are both busy.

I've been married twice. First time outdoors, second time in Church. Second one still working out OK.

My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

I was married outdoors on the lake across the rode from my house in the fall. Colors were in full swing.

I love and am lucky to have my wife. But I see absolutely zero benefit for a man to get married today and a lot of drawbacks and risk.

I was (foolishly) married outdoors here at my place. Never again. I can say that I tried it and didn't like it.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Well, if you must marry..lol

I do it at an outdoor pig picking or clambake, beer on ice in a wash tub, everyone in comfortable clothes and no gifts.

At least you'll remember the party!, lol

For Wedding #2, I opted for outdoors. And as you can see, WITH an arch! Granted, the arch was moose and caribou antlers, not flower!

March 7, in Fairbanks, in a blizzard. Oddly, this has not become a trend...

My wife and I lived together for forty years and raised a family. Neither of us had any interest in a church wedding. We'd seen too many previously married couples get divorced and remarried with priests and pastures ignoring the fact that they broke their previous vows and issuing them new ones. I guess in the eyes of the church "do overs" are okay. Never mind that pesky "till death do us part" business.

We were considered married under Common Law for decades until the state stopped recognizing Common Law Marriage. That was about the same time they began recognizing same-sex marriage. LOL

I have always been covered under my wife's health insurance. When the state stopped recognizing Common Law Marriage the insurance company would no longer insure me because I was no longer considered her husband.

So, even though neither of us gives a crap about a state-issued license proclaiming us married, we had no choice but to get one if I was to remain covered by her insurance.

The Justice of the Peace we went to had a hard time wrapping his head round the fact that we wanted no ceremony, no "theme" as he called it. I told him several times to, "just say the words and make it official." He was disappointed but did it.

Sorry, I'm rambling, get married with whatever ceremony your woman prefers.

Eh...wot?

Too much money for me. It's one day. I'd rather stick the money into a home rather than a wedding.

We did the right thing and had a self uniting ceremony. Legal in PA and a few other states. Very cheap , basically the cost of marriage license and you only need two witnesses to sign. PA is a Quaker state so this was a great option. We don’t like a lot of fanfare and weddings are a HUGE waste of money. So my mom and my aunt signed and we had fried chicken, coleslaw and champagne. About as white trash as you can get!

Got married in the yard almost 38 years ago and our daughter is getting married in the same yard this fall.We had less than 20 people at our wedding and daughter is having somewhere around 200. Guess she has more friends than I do.

We were married outside at our place with only our direct family and closest friends present.

We have a nice shade tree for everyone to sit under and the strip pit was the backdrop view.

It was kept short and sweet with pretty much the I do, you do,we did part of the vows only.

The Ordained Minister was the biggest expense we had outside of a good brisket.

Never could understand why people spend so much money on weddings. Or funerals for that matter

Both groups of providers are preying on people that are wrapped in feelings from both ends of the spectrum and aren't thinking rationally for the most part.

Whatever you choose to do, don't let yourself get swindled by wedding outfitters that want to make your day special. It's still just as special whether you spend $25, 2500, or 25,000.
