The Cubs ripped the Phillies today, maybe it is a wake up call and they will go on a roll. You mean the Phillies right? lol Itd be nice if the Cubs could play up to expectations, but I suspect you're right about them not respecting their coach, they and all us fans have hated him for years.

No ADC, I mean the Cubs. That game yesterday should have been a confidence builder for them. As the trade deadline approaches the Cubs should be buyers and not sellers.,

Cubs have a very high rated farm system, so they have several options. They can sell off a lot of their expensive medicore players and lower salaries or they can trade good potential for more current talent. Being very unlikely to move up much this year they may prefer selling and planning for the future. That will be a downer for the fans but then building for the future worked for teams like the Orioles and others. The Nationals trade of selling off Soto to the Padres looks better today with 3 20-22 year old key players in key positions, a starter a SS and a Center fielder. Brewers lost 2 out of 3 to the Rockies and now a couple games against the Dodgers b4 the alstar break. The Cardinals have been one of the hotter teams the last 40-50 games. They were the pre season favorites to win the N> Central. Brewers will have to play well. Hitting is much improved over the last years, pitching is a bit more iffy, although team ERA is in the top 1/3rd. Bryce

Rough west road trip for the Brewers. Not a good way to enter the Allstar break. Two Brewers starting in the All Star game! Been a long, long time sense that has happened.
Bryce Hudson had a couple bad games. He was due to have a couple. Tough for a reliever to keep an ERA below 1. He will go on another long scoreless streak. He should have been out of trouble yesterday, but the ump missed a strike 3 that had lots of the plate. I enjoyed the T-Rats game. They walked it off in the ninth after they gave up the lead in top of ninth. Lara hit one to the wall with a runner at 3rd and one out. They tied the game on a wild pitch. Nice having the baby brewers so close. My boy even caught a foul ball.

Big disappointment series with the Braves. it started off nice, but went downhill Saturday and today. The Phillies only managed to score one run in their last two games.

Brewers stinking up the place. Bucks are beating them like the red-headed step child.

The Cubs may have turned the corner, they beat up on a really good Orioles team. The Phils face a pretty good pitcher tonight, game on ESPN so I should be able to watch it. I say "should" I got an injection in my eye yesterday and it is causing some discomfort.

I wonder why Harper wasn't in the lineup tonight. Yep, the Cubs and the Phils are doing okay.
