Anybody have a dog they trained for coon hunting? I'm going to train mine to get coons I don't know where to start though

I started mine by doing drags with a dead cat , just take it to where the dog can’t see it then drag it a ways, and put it in a tree and reward the dog when it finds it .
Once it good at that, then put out some traps with drags on them.
When you can catch something put the dog on the track and let it follow it up .
This also means that you can see the track easily and can tell if the dog is on it .
This way s just what I have been doing with my hound and she isn’t going too bad.
Also if he isn’t focusing on the track , put him on a leash and keep him on the track .
Bess gets distracted by kangaroo tracks a lot , but once I have put her on the same track two or three time , she normally realises what she is supposed to do
Hope this helps!
