A lot of us already do wear fur.

Supply & demand. Beaver….. People want cowboy hats & fedoras, they need more wool and buy lots more beaver because their orders spiked, the warehouse gets full so they don’t buy more. Now the castor markets flooded and that goes down because the price of beaver went up and every Tom, Dick & Harry pulled their old 330s out. Beaver stop selling, castors everywhere, guys give up trapping and the number of pelts drops too…..now they’re running low on pelts in the warehouse and Beonce’ just switched to country music…….and they’ll probably need way more hats! The beaver markets low cuz Tom, Dick & Harry gave up trapping so they bid high cuz they need the pelts. Then trappers hear the news and gear up next season and flood the market….then the warehouse gets full…..aaaand a predictable cycle…..lol.
Some fur never really seems to be effected, can always get good $ for a healthy wolf, even for a coarse Manitoba one.
Canada Goose jackets….they stopped using fur on their ruff, coyotes crashed. I inquired about their ruff, and they’re not using fake fur, just a different material. Their yote source was probably in a Chinese prison…..lol

when canada goose said they wher not going to buy coyote fur for their coats anymore was because they also had a 10 year supply in their warehouse

Fur is an emotional market not a logical one, getting people to use it is only by popular demand , used to be a common thing in most cities to see people wearing for need, it's not that way any longer, its now due to a popular feed market.

When some one very popular , that is in the news all the time is photographed wearing fur, fur goes up, however it's usually a year later, hard to make something last when it takes more than that to even get it to the market.

If trappers and fur takers wish a giant fur market every year, it's not happening, if the want even a slightly up market every other year, fur has to be noticed for what it does all the time not just be flashy as a media note.

It needs being worn by the people getting it every where all the time every year, you wish it to be a normal commodity, you have to create a need constantly for it, short of an giant world wide holocaust, which probably would take plenty of fur with it, it's just not going to happen.

Change the fashion industry, pray for a development to create the need for fur, continue to push for it's use, through proper control of the resource, stand proud and noticeable when using it your self. Don't just harvest it and walk away counting the pennies you make then shake your head and say well maybe next year, it might be to late by then, it's almost to late now !!!

All of this is straight up facts! If the US president (not getting political) starts reccomending that people wear fur, it might be a good day? Doubt il ever see the day that he says that though lol

I’m at a lose for words. Are you going to do this after you win the lottery? Making people happy is not how you stay in business.

Sounds like “buy high and sell low”. I may lose a little on each pelt but I’ll make it up in volume.

While I admire your enthusiasm and desire to post as much as you can on any subject, I'm curious as to how much experience you actually have in fur harvesting or marketing your products.

I wasn't trying to be a meanie. The age (or lack of it) factor explains some of the posts. We've all been bit by the same bug, I guess. Thanks for the info.

Trends always change and we're seeing more and more people reject the socialist, progressive, climate change, anti meat, anti human bs and realizing that capitalism is better than abject poverty and misery that Marxism brings. What better way to show the fruits of your labor then to drape your wife in a beautiful, warm, sustainable fur coat. Why wait for someone else to start the trend?

There is a chance it will rise, since a lot of items are close to bottomed out. I am not sure we will ever see a real fur market again. The trinket trade does not use enough fur to make a real market.

The dollar's strength against other currencies is a real impediment to better fur prices too
