Didn't see it, but heard the reviews were not good.

I heard that and I heard fellow actors at the screening gave it a five minute standing ovation. Three hours long.

Wasn’t that impressed with it myself. I guess it’s a multipart movie. Too many story lines that didn’t connect in this first one. Maybe when they all come together it will be better. I would have taken a nap if it wouldn’t have been so loud. Honestly didn’t think the acting was all that good either.

Same thought here as LL and above. It’s a good story but slow as heck.

I'll get around to it. Sheridan Taylor is this generations western story teller. Kevin's had some good movies but Sheridan has shown non-western folks what it really means to live the life. I don't believe Kevin can tell it like it really is, he's never lived it.

Slow as the 1989 miniseries Lonesome Dove was? Interesting thing about Lonesome Dove for me anyway . . . when I watched it thirty-some years ago it moved right along. The pace felt right for a Western of that nature. Now when I catch a rerun it appears to move slower than I recall. Could it be our pace of life has picked up a wee bit?

Hostiles was an excellent Western IMO, a slow paced film but moved right along for me.

I'm looking forward to watching this film. I'll pick an evening in the middle of the week when there shouldn't be but a few folks in the audience. Settle in and transport back in time and place for awhile.

I saw it. I can say that at times at the start, it was kind of confusing, who was who and what they had to do with each other, about half way in it kind of settled down. Then I started thinking there will be three more issues and this one might just be introducing the main folks that will be in the next three episodes.

If they somehow combined the two I'd watch.

My wife and I went and seen it last night. Like it was said, sometimes hard to follow, several plots in one movie. Overall I would say it was good. For sure will need to see the next chapters.

I have seen it. Had trouble understanding the words. I give it a grade of B+.

So will it jack up the price of Beaver?

I rarely go to movies. But I did this one. If the 2nd part out 8/18 isn't ALOT better I'd suggest you pass.

Storyline was confusing.

Not a lot of shooting scenes which surprised me.
