Didn't want to hijack the other thread. Why would there be GPS in hearing aids? Is it for Like a dementia patient or what other reason? And then who has the ability to track them? I have never heard of the feature before and not sure I would like that, I keep my location disabled on my phone most of the time. I have nothing to hide but it's Noone business where I am either.

I think it's probably due to the Bluetooth abilities of the hearing aids.
And I could be wrong, but I don't think disabling your location is gonna stop your phone from being tracked.

Trapdog, I was told by law enforcement officer I know that goes on searches for people that disabling location DOES just that. He is a big advocate for not disabling your phone for location

Wish my Grandma’s hearing aids had GPS. She lost one while walking my line with me spent several hours looking and finally found it. Eric

There is a feature with my hearing aids (by using my cell phone) that allows me to find them should I lose one or both of them. It's amazing how close you can get by following this with your cell phone. My wife can also see where I'm at by using my information and AP on her phone.

LEO and crash detection will still work in a emergency situation even if you shut off the location. And some of these family tracking apps are good for some folks. I'm just not one of them just don't like the thought of someone looking over my shoulders. Lol. It's crazy ti think about how much can be tracked nowadays

I have my wife, son, and brother on my Find Me app. I’ll also use Life 360. When you travel to hunt and you’re by yourself, I at least want them to have a general idea of where to start searching if I don’t make it back or check in. I was able to find my son while hunting in Washington when we split up. He didn’t have cell service to place a call, but I could still track his location. Even here when I go out in the middle of the night the wife can see where I am and if I’ve even moved if she wakes up and I’m not home.

Yes the find my hearing aids works. Her aids you must have the app and the hearings aids linked to her phone. She uses phone to adjust volume. The phone link means if her phone rings it only goes in her ears. Also ability to talk on the phone increases as voice goes there as well. You pay 7,000 bucks fir something as little as them you will thank Jesus for locator if one goes missing

technology has changed. If I had them I’d be happy to know where they are. Last couple days that feature has saved us around 8,000 bucks and lot of labor.

the number of people getting a divorce where one or the other loaded a tracking app on the phone and knows the others location.

I was just talking to some one this weekend , she was getting tracked with the ford app, he was fooling around.
she called Ford and got the account de-activated then re-activated with a different user and pw

most of the hearing aids now blue tooth to the phone , so if your phone is 50-100 feet away the gps in the hearing aids would still tell the searchers , where you are when thrown from your motorcycle in a crash

lots of phone mounts on bikes these days

a guy I know hit a patch of loose gravel on the road home slid off , the people who found him watched him go in or they would have never found him just driving by the tall grass and bushes swallowed him up with a scuff in the gravel was about it

All she had to do was go to settings in her vehicle. Under privacy turn off gps tracking. Takes 25 seconds if vehicle is stolen monitoring service can still find it. Just doesn’t let it be tracked by app. The app is not causing divorce. The person doing something they shouldn’t and getting caught is !!!

you explain that to a woman in her late 60s , she didn't know so she called and got help.

all sorts of things causing divorces , and this one didn't result in a divorce.

it is always the personal responsibility of course that causes the divorce or reason for , the app just clearly points out trust issues or possessive behavior when someone is using it to monitor the others every move.

If you travel through deer/hog infested roads it’s nice if you can be tracked, lol. I have no issue with my wife knowing where I am and she doesn’t mind me knowing where she is. Seems like an unstable relationship if either is getting upset. We don’t sit and monitor the things either. Heck I’ll call and ask where are you? And she’ll say look at the App, lol.
I see it as a safety feature. My old vehicle doesn’t have any monitoring system either, so she tracks my phone. And if the Government thinks I’m worth tracking then they are really bored.

My wife and I use Life360 to track each other. She suggested it because she worries about me when I'm away from home hunting and trapping the mountains of north central PA. She says, "At least we'll know where to find your body." LOL

We also have our 14-year-old granddaughter on it. Her mother does too.

Eh...wot?

That’s pretty cool too. It even showed me when I was in Mexico. My wife said she could see me in the mountains in the middle of nowhere.
