Changing light bulbs in towers is an easy job in the spring and summer and fall if it's not raining or have a storm blow in when you're up there. Winter stinks it's cold and gets icy. Got to be in shape and it takes some time and several breaks to get to the top. Built a few towers , and changed bulbs for a short time when I was in my early 20s.

now those are noble enough career paths , just that I couldn't do good or effect change in any of them.

I almost took a gig climbing a 300 foot tower , and you change the entire light fixture while you are up there not just the bulb , back when I almost took it , 1000 dollars a climb (1995 money) I was young and in pretty good shape not afraid of heights.

My wife spent close to 30 years doing home health care. Most of that was hospice care. She loved it and said she wouldn't want any other job. I couldn't do that kind of work.
