Greencounty when I was working towers it was just changing bulbs. The small side light that are red and stay on all the time were the same shape and size as regular house hold light bulbs. The red blinkers ( every 500' ) or more have 2 big bulbs probably about 12 " tall. If the towers is over 500' it will have at least 2 blinkers but has a blinkers every 500' if it's 750' it will have one at 500 and 750 along with the constant on small lights. If it's 100 500 and 1000. I may have some pictures around here somewhere but it's been over 20 years so may be hard to find..
interesting they told me when I was thinking about taking it on , they changed the fixture every year because the ice did a number on them and with what a fixture cost it was cheaper than the guy to climb.
could have been a line but that was what they told me
Could have been a different type of lights like th white strobes out in the sticks. I never changed any of those o lyrics the ones with the red lens covers.
I did change one where a small side light was rotated upside down and the cover was full of water. But typically the glass was very thick and solid.
Now it was a fun job for a young man running an inspect crew, driving all over the country in a new company quad cab f 350 gas card and a little per deim. But it was dangerous and honestly didn't pay much but as cleaner and eas than line clearance tree trimming I was doing before. Then I mover to Ironworking .
