No...not federal LE......Georgia DNR LE.

I was a "deputized/card carrying" USFWS officer (as all Georgia game warden are), but that status never came into play during my career.

Swamp, I am going to be in Georgia next year for the IHEA-USA conference. Going to be a good time, did you ever get the chance to attend the Hunting Incident Investigation Academy during your tenure?

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

No...never did. I was already a supervisor when Georgia started sending officers to that.

But, I was able to get 2 of my officers to attend. One in Iowa and the other here in Georgia.

I’ve also never been able to attend. It is definitely worth it I’ve heard. Now they are doing some online modules and getting it so folks that go can become certified train the trainers and come back to their home state and do the academy for their fellow officers. Hopefully it is a move in the right direction.

A ring neck's ring isn't white, it's a chestnut color

The Widgeon and the Ring-neck look the most incorrect to me. Not likely to find diver duck species in a flooded cornfield.

I thought the same thing on the ring-neck's ring. I've never seen one that pronounced down here.

And you never will. A ringnecks "ring" isn't white. Its a deep dark burgundy color.

We had a Fed take our Common Mergs down in Florida because they were Woodducks and we shot over the limit, lol. He said if we let him have all 20 of them he’d just give us a warning…sure thing man, thanks! We were using them for dog training, lol.

Pirogue,
You are correct. Ring on the neck on most are a burgundy color and are not always distinct rings, but I have seen a few with lighter colored more distinct rings.

Red head bill is off
but then again the best redheads are the ones you find in bed

Oh different subject
speaking of Ring-necks that is a species in dramatic decline from the 1970's onward to only 25% of the population back then.
