nvwrangler OP trapper N Joined: Sep 2013 Nevada	Big Boy was at the train station a hour from home so ,we made a day trip. Big train 4-8-8-4 steam engine #4014 and lunch and slot machines at a the Alantis Casino. Last edited by nvwrangler; 07/10/24 04:18 PM.

K52 trapper K Joined: Feb 2011 SE Kansas	Big Boy was close to where I live last year so me and a buddy went and saw it. Awesome! When I was a kid I rode trains a lot, walk a couple of blocks to the station here and rode to KC to Union Station where my aunt would pick me up. Go to the Doctor the next day, spend the night and Aunt Mae would put me on the train for home the next day. Did that every weekend for a year. 6 years old, conductor would watch over me. Think that could happen today?
