I had two not long ago and sold one. I have been regretting that since, but he wanted it real bad$$$. Ruger or someone couls sale a lot of those if they would bring them back out.

None! That’s part of what makes it cool when you hunt forever and finally find one to park in your safe!

I don't exactly share that , I am not much of a safe parker I want to hunt them and shoot them.
if it is a good desing I like to see more made for more people to enjoy them for the great tool they were and not hide them away. both tracks of thought are valid.

I inherited a pair of rifles one of them is a 44 carbine

I honestly never expected to inherit any , and these weren't family but a old hunting friend who passed.
they really got me a lot of my early experience with guns.
this was one of their hunting rifles , short and handy.

Ruger 10-22 magnum. I wish I would have bought a couple more when they were making them.

The problem is people often say this about firearms and then they bring them back out but the reality of modern prices comes into play and they are not 199.99 any more but 1199.99 and then people say I would never pay that for one of those and then the cycle repeats itself.

I miss the plethora of ol WW2 Mausers what were sportorized and re-chambered in all kinds of rounds that you saw for $200 bucks at every gun show. At a garage sale sometimes, they were half that.

I had and unfortunately let them all 3 go at different times. That was a mistake. I assumed there wouls be a never ending supply but I was wrong. The best shooting rifle i ever owned was a Jap Arisaka chambered in .257 Roberts on a nice chunk of walnut and topped with a Redfield 3x9. I might have looked like someone had put a saddle on a sow but a box of 119 grain softpoints was 3 or 4 years of shooting. One cold bore test shot and 3 or 4 deer for the freezer.

Oh, and I should have bought a 10/22 Mag when they were easy to come by too.
