Was wondering what you all have made. I've been using a cut limb on an old cedar that I shaped with a draw knife into a beam, which works great for what it is. This year I would like to bring my fleshing operation into the shed. Tired of waiting on the weather and working with numb hands. I've watched a few youtube videos of some PVC beams, Next Gen Trapper's beam with the plywood tub, and others. Just looking for ideas and would like to see what other people have made.

Thanks.

I scrounged a first cut slab from a sawmill, from the bole of a white oak, where the base is like 4" thick and tapers to a point about 5' long. Cleaned off the bark and smoothed out the round side. Thick end bolts to a hinge for mounting on a barn post and one for a portable stand.

Bought a wall mount and beam from Badgerland Trapping. Beam slides in and out of mount to make more room. He also has floor and trailer hitch mounts.

Those are super cool. Thanks for sharing.

Stop over cooking your meat! It isn’t gamey, it’s over cooked!

Gordon Ramsey, maybe…

Guss, no, the pic makes rhe perspective all wierd. The point of the board is right under my belly button. The mount comes with very good mounting instructions, especially regarding height.
