Now one thing I will say though lotta these guys are basically collage level professors when it comes to K9 knowledge and it can be a bit confusing if you don't have a good handle on the basics.

I know for me it was akin to baly getting out of middle school algebra then going to a college level advanced calculus class

Word of advice though id look up there names and go read through their posts BEFORE DMing them .
One it will help you make up a list of specific questions ( please don't just pop in and ask HOW DO I TRAP XYZ or similar) and two alot of them put a lot of time and effort into making some of the best posts on here and it would be a bit of a slap in the face to have not even looked at them imo. Guess you can say it's proper etiquette

This time of year many of the “big name trappers” are doing demos at conventions or giving private lessons. They are busy!!

If you don’t hear back right away, be patient. Don’t keep bugging them. Not everyone is as attached to the internet as YOU are.

Also, keep in mind, many of those trappers make money by passing along their wisdom and experience. You are asking for something free of charge. Just saying………..

NTO, the above response was rushed due to work. My fault. Heck NO you don’t say ‘OK’. You keep grinding away at different angles to get what you need. Find that one key that fits the lock. Don’t take NO for an answer!

My best advise is the best canine trappers aren't on Trapperman. They are out trapping canines and not surfing the internet. I can count a handful of guys that trap full time, day in and day out, don't give demos and don't have an internet handle.

Not running down any of the names you were provided because my guess is they are all solid trappers. However, my advise is to find the best canine trappers that trap areas similar to yours. Many of the names you were given are western trappers and while canines generally act the same from one coast to the other, there are differences. And trappers out west don't deal with issues you deal with, and vis a versa. Find a solid local trapper and pick his or her brain. Then if you still need info you can go shopping around for additional information.
