KeithC's picture had me thinking a bit. Isn't it interesting that we may feel a bond or a kinship with old family members who were here before us.......most we have only " met" in stories and old black and white pictures.......

A word of advice. If you have some laying around --please please please get with the older members of your family and go through them before the names, faces, and more importantly the stories fade into the past. Been going through some with dad and unfortunately the memories are fading................

Don't know if you want pictures here or not but you just got a couple. I put these on here before but its been a while. I knew all of these except the old man was my great grandpa, died when I was 2 yr old. Didn't know Shep the possum dog, nor Jenny the ride. My dad used to shoot rabbits off of Jenny on the way to the country store a couple mile from here, he got 10 cents each, they shipped them by train to St. Louis. My dad was the last one on Jenny and the one with his hands in his pockets in the other one. I lived in that same old house for 25 yrs. Picture was taken in 1925 or 1926.

Foxpaw-- great pictures and great stories. That's exactly what I am talking about........... how many people in your family know who those people were, and the life stories associated with them.

I guess in the last couple years or so I noticed that my family is getting noticeably smaller and the history is fading........
