I not sure if any of y’all have heard about how the public has been treating them . I don’t understand why you would do the things they are doing like pulling guns on them ,holding them at gun point , lacing their drinks with drugs . Those guys and women have families they left to go help others that don’t appreciate anything the way it sounds . Our youngest has been around Texas city since last Monday morning. He has been working 16 hours a day on the lines to restore power ,he texted us Thursday night and said he should be heading home this weekend then turned around Friday and texted saying after they are done there they are heading to Houston for 3 more weeks. I asked him if all the things I’m am hearing about the way the public is treating them is true and he said it is . He said they tell them about it in the morning briefing before they start to work . I guess I just don’t understand how could you do that to people that’s helping you . If you will say a prayer for the workers and their safety . [Linked Image]

Are you serious?!

I honestly can't imagine, we always treated linemen like heros in my area after a bad storm. Nothing to see folks pulling over to offer them snacks ,drinks ,hugs ect

Have a nephew on a crew down there. Hes a mechanic keeping all the rigs running and hes been telling the same stories. Hes in the Houston area now and cant wait to leave. The whole bunch of them crews oughta pack their gear and head back north where theyre appreciated for the long hours they put in. Let them eejits fix their own power grids.

Remember talking to someone a while back , in a lot of parts of Louisiana after a hurricane the gangs should put out a deal where no one was allowed to mess with the linemen or similar. Of course people did but usually want good when they found out.

Sounds like you need to get a posse up Savell and go do a little urban slaptaming.

Proudly banned from the NTA.

Bother me tomorrow. Today I'll buy no sorrows.

The US of A is the only country that treats us linemen like the gods we are….lol. Always been treated first class there. That being said, sketchy areas in Detroit, I’ve heard they wear vests. Here’s me and my other brother Daryl crushing it in lake country on Saturday. Stopped to get another coffee just at sunset and there was a beach behind us. “Let’s take a selfie and send it to our supervisor”…lol. Plugged away until 6AM and sent home as we timed out…$$$

I treat linemen like kings. My corn crop depends on the wells getting juice. Can’t believe people would treat them bad especially if they didn’t have power, but nothing surprises me anymore

I’ve got several buddies that are lineman. I’m pretty certain if they got treated that way they’d say good luck and leave. Nobody should be treated that way!

An entire sub-population with in our population has been raised by patents who did not love their children enough to first lift them up, but then also teach them to lift others up. They have raised these children to reject morals and values. They have raised these children to believe they have been, are being, and always will be VICTIMIZED by men who don't look like them or live like them.

At the same time, these parents had zero issue with the influence that rap music, Hollywood, and the very neighborhoods they live in which celebrated thug culture had over these same children.

If anyone outside of those communities raised even the slightest concern we were labeled nazis. Well, we now see how this has all come to pan out for us.

Yall Yankees laugh and Savell and then none of ya will be responsible for gaining any of the wisdom he tries to share with ya. .

Not everyone has the courage to stand on a pole in hooks in the eye of a snow storm in the middle of the night with the wind blown hard. My hat goes off to all linemen.

Thank You Lord for letting me go tall, Standing in Your hands to keep me from the fall.

Whether flying in a bucket or climbing a pole, I know that You are with me in the heat and the cold.

Keep me safe in night and day from the power of those lines, and for my brothers too, I pray, will come home.

I know there is no light as great as You have shown, but for those in need here on earth I climb into the zone.

So keep me safe in wind and rain, All across the land, for I am a Lineman in Your master plan

Give me a fish, I will eat for a day. Teach me to fish, I will eat for a lifetime
