Will they help if signal coming into the home sucks? Or only improve signal in other parts of a house where there is already decent signal?

I live close to Lake Erie. For a number of years our signal was weak due to the need of another tower in a populous area. Signal booster did work in providing a stronger, and more stable, service.

I have a WeBoost in my cabin. The cell signal before the booster was very weak (Lucky to get/send a text) with the WeBoost I have 4G and can surf the net reasonably throughout the 350 square ft. of the cabin.

When I was still in the game warden business, we put them in many of our trucks. They increased the signal by 1 or 2 bars over a cell phone without the boost in the same area.

Short answer, No.

It will show more bars on the phone but the service will still be as sucky as it was.

Ours seemed to be better. We'd have 2 GW trucks at same backwoods river landing...1 with booster could talk...1 w/o could not. Seen that several times.

I have a Weboost in my house. We could barely talk outside the house before we got it, and certainly not inside. Now, we can talk anywhere in the house and never drop a call.

Does the Weboost have an outside antenna or does it just take the cell signal inside the home? The cell boosters I’m referring to don’t have antennas. But, if you have at least 20Mbps internet it will work.

With the vehicles and antennas yeah it should work.

Weboost has an outside directional antenna that is connected to an amplifier inside which is then connected to a signal sending antenna that sends a strengthened signal out .

Weeboost has 2 types of antennas. Read to see which one you need. They absolutely improve if you have any signal at all.

Same! We were thinking about getting a land line again as in house service went to complete crap after new steel roof and siding. Now it’s BETTER than standing outside. Happy trapping! ScottW
