Exactly Chancey. She lied about why there were no SS agents on the same roof the shooter used. And she didn't bother to make up a plausible lie because she didn't have to.
She and folks like her in positions of power know that nothing is going to happen to them. They know they can blatantly lie. They know that no one with even moderate intelligence will believe them. They know there will be zero repercussions for their lies. They don't care. They don't have to. They have nothing to worry about.

I know little of her actual work product except that at least one of Trumps detail looked like she could not run accross a small room without a snack break and NONE of them performed like a team who had drilled for this type of scenario until it was deeply ingrained in their reactions. BTW poor planning and a lack of accountability from the top to the bottom defaults that you better git good at reacting to the unexpected. Look at the performance of the SS agents when an attempt was made on Ronald Reagan. You'd have needed a belt fed chunk of mighty big ordinance to get another grain of lead close to that man. Times have changed and not for the better.

I'm not saying this wasn't a botch job, but she's probably not making on the ground personnel decisions either.
When you think about what happened, you wouldn't think a building that had cops inside of it staging or whatever they were doing. Would have a guy climb up the side of it and start shooting. I don't know how many cops were in the building, but it just seems like a crazy turn of events that it actually transpired. They were looking for that specific guy earlier, how does he wind up right in the middle like he did. My mistake Otis, thanks for the info.

The shooter's own parents called the cops hours before the rally to report him missing. None of this adds up. It all adds up, just not to something people want to believe.
