My old blonde lab buddy passed on the other day at the ripe old age of 14 years plus. He was pretty active up until about 2 weeks before he passed, then as if he knew he was way different. Now I am alone.... but putting a plan into the works to get a new puppy here maybe this winter if I retire. I want to get a pup and work with him (probably him... not her) daily trying to make an antler shed dog out of him so we can wonder the hills and creeks together as we grow old in the twilight years ....at least for me. And I want to get an electronic pet fence so he can wonder where he wants to here on my creek bottom ranch.... within the limits I set of course. What brands or what kinds of pet containment systems are out there? Just starting to do some research and as always the opinion and comments of my T-Man Brothers and Sisters is always valued greatly. Thanks in advance !!

NCM we have a wireless pet safe brand that has worked flawlessly for years. It has a dial to set the perimeter boundary. Eric

^^^this. These things work great. I think our can be set out to about 150yd diameter. Enough to keep Morty on the main yard. But they’ll get smart and stand at the perimeter until the warning stops, then it’s free to roam as the batteries in the collar are dead. Don’t forget to remove the collar when you bring puppy in the truck for a ride!…lol

Thanks guys... I wonder if you put the transmitter on the side of a building does the building...or any building , metal or wood...... block the signal so the dog does not go behind the building ??

Mine works in a circle radius. The transmitter is in the back entrance area of our house which has a metal roof.
