Yeah I'm starting to feel like that. Wasn't against it but wasn't 100% for it....now this critter is with me about any waking moment. Least till the wife gues home . Can't even run to the hardware store without her hoppon in the car

I've always liked the brindle coat just never owned a brindle. Of course I'm not dead yet so it's still possible.

Many many years ago I was working at a remote Slic unit and this little kitten came out of the woods and laid at my feet. I hated cats and did everything to scare this thing off. Needless to say I found an empty box and made it shelter for the night as it was winter and getting pretty cold at night. I then left and drove around until I found a little store and bought it some food and a little bowl for water.

I got home and told the wife if it survives the night we’d be owning a cat the next day. I didn’t expect it to survive as it looked sick and had a bum leg.

Well I went back that next morning and saw it in the box not moving. I figured it was dead, but I’d placed the opening East and it was just warming in the sun. I gathered it up and took it to the vet and told them to make it better and fix its leg. Turns out someone had kittens and didn’t want them and took them to the woods to shoot them. Apparently this little guy only got hit in the leg. After a $1200 vet bill we owned a 3 legged cat…a solid black one at that.

He lived a great 9 years before passing. I watched that cat face a stray Tom cat and whoop its butt and lay under the bird feeder and catch birds with that one front paw. I miss that ole cat!

I don't own a dog , but the wife's chihuahua sleeps on my bed

My kids one has Husky mix and the other a German Wire hare pointer.

who feeds them 90% of the time and lets them out in the middle of the night and does most everything.

I have a kennel and a bean bag chair in my office that the dogs chill in while I work

I do now have them paying their own vet and feed bills.

That's a nice looking dog, you'll get used to taking it everywhere, lol

My wife has 3 Pekingese's, thankfully they can't get on the bed, most expensive dogs we've ever had. Cute but essentially useless, the Vet loves them....lol
My old Border Collie lived over 20 years, ate normal dog food and never cost a dime at the vets...

I don't know what I'd do without a dog. We had two of them die on us within about a year and a half of each other. We were dogless for about 3 weeks and it was awful! No one to greet us when we got home. The house would be deadly silent. Up until them, we had a dog for 35 years straight. We got a year old yellow lab after that 3 week hiatus and she is the "best dog ever".
(They all were).
