A taxidermist from Newfoundland sent a bunch in so got it back much quicker than I expected. They needed ten to start and mine was the 3rd. Just over 10’. 550 hide, 327 shipping & 2200 CAD to tan. Only place for it is the wall going up our stairs…lol

My that is nice fur. My worry would be how to keep it that nice and white and clean. As you stated, getting it off the floor is the start . Very nice fur.

It’ll have to go on the wall. Looks and feels awesome on the couch, but no way am I leaving it there. I could bring it along to our convention & stuff I suppose.
One claw fell out during the process. Guess I’ll make a necklace or something out of it.

Still can. But do what with it, I got no room. It’s hanging along our stair well. I actually ain’t into it for much. $3000CAD is pretty low for a +10’ polar bear hide. For the price Ian wanted for it raw, I couldn’t pass it up.

Beautiful. Don’t feel bad that’s where I had to hang my biggest bow bear in our house. Eric

Thats a beauty shakey.
How many bullet holes did Ian put in it,lol.

Did you get the skull too?

You should get a taxi to re attach the claw sheath that slipped.

The thing is if you do not rug it, the hide will deteriorate faster. It will look like someone's great grandma over time.Do you want that ? If you rug it you will preserve the hide better along with the value. Find a place for it.Toss some crap you have on a wall and give it the respect that it deserves.
