Not a smooth video, but I got it done. Bought a few of these Blake and Lamb #1 double jaws at a flea market. I'm struggling here due to being weak from sickness and it's the first one I've done in a long time. The original springs are still strong and I bet these traps are 50 plus years old. I'll buy a few more spring to finish them up.

Right now I’m having amnesia and déjà vu at the same time. I think I’ve forgotten this before.

Dont you own a vise?
Much easier to work on traps with a vise.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

One thing I remember about messing with BL traps are the jaw tips are weak. If you dont have the spring buried when setting them it will usually bend the jaw
legs away the tips creating an offset or poorly lined up trap jaws.

I do. My real problem here is that I've been sick and I'm weaker than normal.
It's not hard to do without the vise normally. But I recommend using one.
