I dont catch many coyotes but I have a dozen #3 victor FOJ that I would like to use. They have #2 (I think) twin loop chain. Is this ok to use or should I just swap it out with machine chain?

I have caught quite a few coyotes using twin loop but my set up is way different than most because it is sandwiched between a drag and a Tbar spring. On a drag twin loop is awesome because it snags the bark off any tree or shrub and basically blazes a trail for ya. if it is in good shape I wouldn't be too scared- it is a least as tough as an eyelet that hasn't been tacked or jaw end that wasn't bubbled.

It’s fine to use it. I have caught plenty of yotes with twin loop chain. Never had one break either.

Ever chain a dog with that stuff? Don't take long and it busts. I never trusted it so never had a failure. I replace it.

Knock on wood I’ve never had twin loop chain break. A lot of the newer traps come with link chain but I’d run that twin loop until you get bored and want to modify those traps with better swivels and then put new chain on

We'd all prefer to drive a Lexus to church on Sunday, but, we also know that old Ford will make it there, more often than not.
