I don’t know how many folks here are fans of Gary Larson,, the guy has a twisted sense of humor and extremely intelligent,,, a lot of his humor is cerebral.
Has had some seriously funny stuff
One of my favorites,, shows a hand, reaching for the opened door of a nightstand, for a pistol..
And the caption below says,,,” finally , Dennis had driven Mr Wilson too far”

The Far Side comics was a daily treat in the local newspaper.

He is still at it, although I think his older stuff is funnier. https://www.google.com/search?q=gar...;oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari

He's one of my favorite cartoonists. Been a fan for years. Another you'd like is Tundra comics.

Hilarious! I think in the same class as Gahan Wilson.

He is the best there is. Some of his work is hard to get unless you are in Gary's mindset. There is a few that I have never figured out. My favorite is the one with the dog in a life raft with a pair of glasses and a watch, and a wallet lying on the floor, and the rescue boat with two guys looking down saying how fat and happy the dog seems to be after being lost for days at sea

My favorite was the "First Shell Game"....where the other caveman kept wining because they were only using one shell....before they realized that more than one shell made it much harder to figure out.

Funny guy. Also an animal rights advocate if that means anything to how much you enjoy his work.

It doesn't bother me. Everybody is entitled to their opinion no matter how wrong it may be.

Does effect how much you enjoy or don't enjoy his work?

Eh...wot?

someone read the goodle review;

it was always noted back in the day he attended Entomological meetings and got many -a-idea from them.
I did enjoy it when they put out yearly- day- calendars

I’m a huge fan. I used to get his calendars ever year, different comic every day. I had it in my mine foreman office, and we’d save our favorites on the bulletin board. My wife bought me the hard bound collectors edition books, hand signed by Gary.

I have a number of books of his work. I tag the pages where there are the ones I don't get. Over the years I have gone back and figured some of those out. It definitely helps to binge read several of them to get into his mindset.
I have always wondered if he wrote any that DO NOT make any sense just to mess with us.

My brother in law has all the books of his cartoons. Sure is fun to read through them every couple years.
