My drivers license expires on October 8th, this morning
I went to the NCDMV to check on how to do this and may it be done online.

So to be legal and get my license renewed, I have to either drive
200 miles one way or bring a cooler of food and a Porta pot

DMV serves a highly useful purpose as a good example of why less government control of our lives is the best course of action. Why less is more.

Most DMV's have earned the scorn most have for them. MO has even farmed that out by allowing these to be run by private contractors........and even they screw it up.

When it comes to North Carolina, them are some kinda lazy suckholes,
They like to rely on the government to fix their lazyness

I live 40-45 miles from the DMV in Las Vegas with an appointment, you might get to see them in about 3 months. About 35 miles to the South is the DMV in Laughlin, NV. Walk in and get r done in about 15 minutes. Best thing is , they won’t allow anyone with a Vegas address to see them.

Go to Mexico. Walk up to any US check point. They will give you a debit card with thousands of dollars, new ID, a ticket anywhere in the US, you want to go, Medicaid, SNAP benefits and an allowance. You'll be prohibited from working, but can work under the table, while having all your expenses paid for. You can then commit felonies and misdemeanors and be released on your own recognizance to offend again.

If you want more, go back to Mexico and enter again. You can collect payouts for many different IDs because they won't know who you are and won't check against other IDs. You can make mad buck.

Haha, GA decided at one time since I was a Vet they wasn’t making any money off me (vets get a free license) so my license was due to be renewed when I turned 65! That’s all good except I was in my 30’s at the time, with brownish/black hair and a clean face. I HATED going through a check point anywhere out of State or even flying…always got asked to pull over and wait because they had to make some calls, lol.
Georgia came out with a new license and seeing how work takes me to quite a few DMV’s I got in good with the ladies there and they let me renew to a new license with a more up to date pic and an expiration date I could remember!!

Go to Minnesota, every illegal in our state has a Minnesota license plate and an identification card. No driver’s license, SS#, or proof of insurance. But at least the state issues them a plate and a voting stub I’d be willing to bet.. Even though they live in South Dakota, and work at mostly dairies. Worst drivers in the world btw.. I see many of them issued tickets for driving without a license every week in the paper. But they’re still here….

Buzzard my wife walked in at Oxford and renewed hers and didn't have to make an appointment. Might be worth a try

Mine expires Oct 18th. Renewed online last week. Took about 5 minutes, all from my recliner.

Did they tell you why you can't renew online? Maybe you need the Real ID license. if so, make sure you take all the necessary documents to your appointment so you do not have to return to complete the requirements.

My point was that illegal aliens are treated better and given documentation that the legal residents of North Carolina have to struggle to get.

But, the reason you're having trouble is because of the illegal immigration. In Texas, you must have your original birth certificate or a passport.
