While tigers (musky/pike hybrids) are actually stocked in some places, where I fish isn't one of them. The odds of catching a natural tiger musky here are slim to none. On the side you can see a patch where it looks like the purebred pike colors are poking through. I'll likely never catch another in my life. 41" ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2024/07/full-40075-224833-20240723_1935052.jpg)

That is an amazing catch something to get mounted.

Very cool, congratulations! First thing I thought of, was what a beauty of a job you'd do on that one as a mount. You'd have fun painting this one.

Do you have a picture where the bottom part of the tail isn't cut off?
Beautiful fish! I was more focused on counting the pores in the lower jaw than the tail, but I failed at both apparently. I will say thought that the lobes were rounded.

Bet that was a pain to reel in! Nice one though. I tell ya one thing. [b] I HAVE NEVER GOT A FISH THAT BIG! I have had 53" musky that didnt fight as hard. It fought me the whole time too. Holding it, trying to get ahold of it while in the net, etc. Was crazy how much fight it had actually. Pike and musky fight totally different, and this one was true to its nature, a blend of both fish.

They use to stock small lakes around here with them. It was a big mistake, they are ravenous. Cleaned the lake out then finally died off. It took 15 to 20 years for some lakes to recover. They were fun and easy to catch. They really would attack a lure. Tiger musky, being sterile, the Department of Environmental Conservation was covering they're backside sticking these.
