Hauling but home, not looking in my mirrors, there are two sheriffs cars,,, Long story short,,,, I was arrested for eluding.... All I wanted was warm hamburgers at home Still laugh thinking about them two beating me and still not being able to get me in the back of the car.

Twice. They never put me in cuffs, I rode in the front seat both times, and never stayed the night in jail. OUIs at 20 and 23. I was honest, respectful, and didn't give them any reason to punish me any more and it also usually kept them from searching the vehicle. Took me a long time to learn my lesson I had many screw ups in my teens and early 20s but when it came down to law enforcement I got out of waaaaaayy more crap than I should have just by being honest and respectful. Sober 6.5 years now. They used to let me ride in the front seat until windshield installation cost about crippled the force Your a bad dude to kick a windshield out

Careful, Vinke, it just might be "Dead, or Alive". I, too had a few bounty hunting days. It's best to know who you are dealing with.

Twice.
Once was in a little town near where Smash is. It was one of those town that you rode along the tracks, turned left, went across the tracks, then turn right to continue on your way. I made the left to go across the tracks, except I forgot to go across the second set of tracks and made the right. Put that Camaro right down onto the tracks. They had to shut down the trains in both directions until the tow truck got there to get me out. I stood there in cuffs watching them tow the car away. The charges were dropped after it came out they did no sobriety tests on me and still charged me with DUI.
The second time was in Ohio I got lost coming out of the ski resort in lower WVA. Ended up in KY. I never noticed until I crossed into OH that there were lights behind me. The OH police took over the case. The poedunk sheriff had me drive my car to the police station. Then put me in a cell. He didn't want to do the paperwork, so he let me sleep it off. Told me to come back the next weekend and spend 2 nights in his jail and the charges would go away. I went back and he forgot all about it. Spent 1 night in a cell, was fed a good breakfast from a little diner and then sent on my way.

Yep once when I was younger and thinking I was something. Had a suspended license and full of wheat dust. No bar in my area so drove to a small town a few miles away to have a couple cold ones. The local deputy recognized my 66 short bed step side and stopped in to check on me. Yep it was me, I was honest and admitted to my error in driving to town without a license. I was told to put my hands behind my back, stated I would as soon as I was finished with my beer. He grabbed an arm wrenched it behind my back and put one cuff on. He and me, both made a mistake, I was happy and thought it would be fun to put the other one on him. Good laugh from a couple other ranchers as I took another sip and then got a good bang on the head, his partner got me with the night stick. His partner made a mistake also and didn't put my lights out. A few seconds later all three of us were on the ground, one deputy in a headlock and Barney cuffed to me with me sitting on him. A good patron bought over my beer held it to my lips and I finished my beer and I went more or less peaceful. I learned a lesson out of the ordeal, always keep enough beer at home and a couple on the machinery. These days I would have been shot most likely. Lol......quite a story

I've always been able to outrun the law. Since then, I've been on the straight and narrow. On a side note, my next door neighbor spent the night in jail a couple days ago. His wife left him and after she left he changed the locks and alarm code. In retaliation, his 20 year old daughter called the PD and claimed he was threatening her and har mother. He owns a lot of firearms. They hauled him in under the "Red Flag Law". Well, turns out the daughter is nuts and couldn't keep her story straight. They let him go, but he's not too happy.
