are the belisle 280s any good on beaver and otter I have some belisle 330s but would like some 280s for otter but also want to use them on beaver.

In most cases I prefer them over the 330 for both beaver and otter. For otter they are much preferred.

280's are a good trap. Are you water trapping your otter or dry land. On dry land I wouldn't be afraid of going to a 220 for otter.

I have caught two otters in a belisle 280, both great catches in bottom edge sets.

I also know they'll hold you by the thumb if you aren't paying attention.

My go to trap for otter. Buy them and you'll never question their efficiency. My other go to 280s are LDL and actually Duke

Both 280's and 330's are good for otter.Depends on the size of the channel.

I love the 280. Only problem I’ve ever had with them is the occasional beaver that tries to climb over and if it’d been a little higher they’d have stuck their head in it. I know you asked about Belisle. I have several of them and I really like the RBG 280’s. Had many a very large beaver try to go through them.
