I live on a school district line. Last road before the neighboring township lines meet. 2-3 miles away My address uses their post office. I'm being forced to vote at the neighboring township location.
Nothing on the ballot applies to my township elections and taxes. I have no say so in any of it ? Just accept the outcomes .
I am allowed to vote on taxes and issues applying to the other township. I did explain to the election officials present last time that I felt I was being Taxed without Representation I also stated that if memory served me correctly. This was a big factor in the American Revolution. I got some response like contact my elected state officials. , it was their fault ?
What can I do to rectify this ? Really big local elections coming up and I want to vote on it.
Thx for any advice.

I stated in the waiting line that I was going to vote yes on every tax and Bond on the ballot. Because I don't have to pay any of it. My taxes go to the township I lived in.
A few people seemed to object.
None of them were the voting officials.

I hope you aren't Hunter Biden's cell mate when they git caught up with ya!
To the OP, I'd squal to more and different ppl every day until they give you "permission" to vote on things that matter to your family. Tell them you are sending your taxes to the neighbors and that might git their attention.

Might start with your local representative.
I have the same thing here in Illinois but it changes right after each election. I have been in three districts the last three elections due to the winner getting to change the border of their district. They draw the lines around places they want to be included in the next election so they have a greater chance of keeping their job.
Just passin through

That's a function of your COUNTY, contact those election officials. I have a similar problem. I have 1-1/4 acre lot, my house is in one school district and township, and my 1.04 acre back yard is in another. school dist. and township. Can't have them connected to reduce taxes because of different tax rates. Maybe worse, my house is unincorporated county, and the back yard is in a small municipality. Different police services. Has caused plenty of problems.
You may have to get a lawyer.

House where I grew up was in no man's land. We had mailing address/ zip code from one town, school district was in a different town and telephone service from yet another.
They vote in civil township in which they live.
Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.
