Does your state require you to have a commercial fur trapping license to operate? Or a permit or etc? Just curious. Thanks, Sarge

Georgia offers only a commercial trapper's license..... required for both recreational and ADC trappers.
If you do ADC in an urban environment and trap/take/handle species out of season that have a trapping/hunting season/or certain protected species.....then a nuisance control permit is required.
To trap predators (that season is closed for) on a large scale (as on a farm, plantation, or hunting club) out of regular trapping season, the property will have to have a furbearer control permit for that particular property. Regular trapping season is December 1st to last day of February.
Here in Georgia, beavers, coyotes, coons, and possums can be trapped year-round with only a commercial trapping license. No other permits needed.

NWCO Permit requires as well as a furtakers license

Have to pass a written test on your computer on problem wildlife. Once you pass you buy a$40.00 license once a year.

If you are paid to remove wild animals in IN, you must have a nuisance operator permit. Have to pass test then have certain number of hours training in the next 4 years, or take the test after every 4 years. There is a fee for the permit. No regular fur trapping license is required to do ADC work.

Not in Mo. "A landowner "OR THEIR AGENT" can take wildlife causing damage without permit".. However, it's a good idea to check in with your county's F&G Agent for a heads up if somebody calls to complain, and you have to follow their disposal orders. NO keeping of fur.

In Iowa yes, you need a fur harvester's license. I don't understand why. we can't save or use any part of the animal

Keeps people from claiming "damage" just to kill an animal for it's fur/parts.
