Just a heads up, I will be bringing some 3 in 1 camtrip cage sets. These are used but like new. $300 per set delivered to Lusk, if you want to put your name on any before I get there let me know! I only have 8 sets so they will go fast once I'm there. When you say 3 in 1 set do you mean second and third ones are slightly smaller and fit in one another for easier transport and all three can be used for bobcat?

No, you don’t have to register ahead of time. People will be driving in and flying in from every direction, typically from 30+ states, and part of the fun of putting it on is the surprises I get when I see someone in the crowd that I didn’t know was coming, or hadn’t seen in a long time!
We are charging $20 entry, for anyone 18 and older.
Check in is at the front desk, just inside the door at farthest building to the south, on the fairgrounds
For the $20, you will get a wristband that signified you’ve paid, and a list of demos, times, etc.
The tickets for the Saturday night banquet are sold right there too, (no need to pre-register)for $25, as well as raffle tickets for the guns and bear trap
The food vending is also in that building, as well as the vendors. The demos will be on either side of that building also.
The entrance to the fairgrounds itself is at the north end, right across highway from the Trail Motel.
Camping is right along the fence at the north end, with about 10 or 11 electrical hookups, on a first come basis
There are showers and restrooms at that end of grounds too
There is lots of grass, and unlimited camper parking that doesn’t require hooking up, and unlimited tent camping The fairgrounds charges a small fee for that, and can be paid in main building, although several people pay us at check in desk and we hold it separate and give it to grounds personnel on Monday. It’s fairly informal
Coyote Days is a family event, and we encourage people to bring their kids.
Lusk has a very nice modern pool at north end of town, and is great place for families to use and cool down if it gets hot.
Coyote Days is fairly fast paced, and busy from 7:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. for the 2 days.
20 demos, starting on the hour, 10 per day
We’ll have the portable bleachers, a few shade spots with chairs, and lots of room to stand, but I see several people bring their own chairs, and that is fine
The weather is anybody’s guess, but there is a new open air pavilion that we use for the Friday night Roundtable Discussion that can also be used as a demo area, IF we get hard rain, and also another large building. The show WILL go on!
The banquet is held in the main building at north end of grounds. We encourage people to attend, and every year people tell they wish they had stayed for it, the previous year! This is beef country, so we feed you well while you’re here, and rib steaks or NY steaks are what we grill at the banquet, and we have quite a crew that handles that every year, in a hurry.
Again, we’re putting on Coyote Days with the help of several people, including the demo presenters that travel a long distance to come and share their knowledge and experience. It’s designed to be both informative and fun.
I encourage anyone interested in coyotes, bobcats, and predator control to attend.
Come August 16th and 17th, all tracks lead to Coyote Days in Lusk, WY
If you still need to book a room, I suggest you do it soon!
Have a great day,
John

We’re only 2 weeks away now, and things are really coming together now, and before we know it, people from all over the country will start pulling in to the fairgrounds to kick off Coyote Days 2024!
Lots of little things to take care of, and they’re dealt with as things come to mind.
The demo list is rock solid, and the presenters are ready to come and share their experience and hard earned knowledge.
Like I’ve mentioned before, we’ll have a few more bobcat demos this year, and also 1 beaver demo, and also Wolves and Lions will be topics.
Something for everyone, and lots to visit about before and after.
One thing that I’ll mention is that every year, we have people tell us afterwards that they wish they had stayed for the banquet on Saturday evening, when they hear what all it included.
The banquet is more than just supper, which is a grilled steak and all the extras , it also includes guest speakers, an acknowledgement and presentation to all the demo presenters, bucket raffle, door prize or two, fur show, and a live auction.
We try to keep the action at a fast pace, and it is the last gathering for many of us, and a last chance to shake hands, and say “See you next year”.
Coyote Days is a kick off for the fall season for many people, and also the beginning of school. Lots of kids attend, and there is a great city pool in town, if they need a break from the event.
I’ve put in an order for dry, cool weather, and we’ll see how that works out.
I’ll post a few more updates that I’ve been waiting on sharing, as they are confirmed.
COYOTE DAYS 2024 August 16-17 Lusk, WY
Have a good day,
John

From them people I've been talking to who say they are coming or seriously considering it, it's going to be a good one.
Forecast is looking good and warm shirt along will be a good idea for mornings and evenings

Yes, it’s coming up fast!
The weather has been hot lately, but looks maybe 80’s by then, but who knows
We’ve seen it 101, and we’ve had rain and wind before, but we have places to do demos for all weather types.
Otis Latham chainsaw carved a bear for the auction, and has been sending me updates updates daily. Very cool!
We have a Ruger 22-250 and a Henry Golden Boy .22, along with a Denali #15 Bear Trap for raffle items, and the tickets will ONLY be sold at Coyote Days, so an attendee WILL win them.
We’ll have a great variety of furs for the fashion show, and that will be at the Saturday night banquet.
And, like I’ve mentioned before, we have a star studded demo lineup that can’t be beat.
With the bobcat market holding on strong, we’ve added in more bobcat demos than most years, and I know for certain that a lineup like this on Bobcat trapping, snaring, and fur handling has NEVER been assembled in one place before. No exaggeration.
Coyotes will be covered A-Z, and a great beaver demo is added in this year
Brandy James is coming all the way from Oregon to show us some lion methods, and John Barnum is coming with him and his demo on ‘Cats will be a great insight too.
Those are just a few of the guys that have world class information to share.
2 carcass bobcats will be thawed and one will be skinned and handled from start to finish each day Todd Fairchild and Dick Pederson will each put one up, and their style is smooth and questions can and will be answered along the way. And, if we have a few minutes, I’ll show which glands to collect ..
We’ll do everything we can to make Coyote Days 2024 the best one yet.
August 16-17 in Lusk, Wyoming
Thanks. John
