Put a good bullet through the lungs with any of them and it'll kill even the meanest Red Fox.

But as per the vote, I'd give the rifle the nod only because most including (me) will tend to shoot it better.

I shot a bear with an arrow once at 15 yards. Didn't make it 20.

4570 would be better for bear so take the rifle .

I've used a S&W XVR in 460 for several years now and love it for deer-sized critters. Depending on what you're chasing, the 460 would be my choice. 

444 Marlin.

At 20 yards,none of the above,bring a 12 ga with a few slugs.

But at 20yds I could most likely kill a bear with any of those
