Ever had one?
I've had about 5.
This last one I had to call off because I was i too much pain that started about 1/2 hour after starting. and they said it would still be another hour.
Today is try again. Wondering if anyone else has had trouble with them.

was the pain as a result of the MRI or whatever issue you had that needed an MRI done?

Nope I've had a few of them over the years.just put the headset on and listen to your favorite music.my daughter is a mri/x-ray tech and has done thousands of them.sometimes they have to give the patient a pill to relax them to get thru the test.

I lost count as to how many I've had, never had a problem, but then I never had one that lasted an hour and a half.

I think the mri caused the pain. Never heard one make so much banging noise, couldn't hear the music thru the noise.

Got o go wish me luck

Not sure if it’s the same test, but by putting my hands and arms above my head for that long, tends to put them to sleep.

Might be an older machine. The noise they make is quite distinctive.

Good luck.should be no pain from getting a mri other then the jack hammering noise they make. There are different size machines some are a pretty tight fit.according to my daughter there a very expensive piece equipment.

I had one on my right knee, the pain I thought was from the MRI was actually do to my knee being immobilized during the MRI. With the knee locked in place, it can't be slightly adjusted subconsciously to lessen pain. The other MRI I had, there was no pain.

I get an MRI and CT scan every 3 months for the next year or so (Cancer follow up). No problems with the MRI except feeling slightly claustrophobic. The CT scan requires my arms be held above my head and that really bothers my shoulders. fortunately it doesn't last very long.

That's how all of mine sounded. Very loud banging noises. Didn't bother me though, it was like hearing a rain storm with thunder. My MRIs would last about an hour. Never any pain from them. Discomfort sometimes from being confined so long is all.
I can't have them anymore because of my TENS implant that wraps around my spinal column.

I had three MRIs last year and another one scheduled for next week.

If you have metal in your body, including iron filings, it may travel during an MRI, which could be very painful to fatal.

Probably had a dozen. Not too bad unless the technician puts you in an abnormal and painful position.

I had one done for my neck a few years ago… I hurt really bad after I got done because of the position I had to stay in for an extended period of time…

I am with Turtledale, can't have any more because of the Tens machine. my tens machine is like a small walkie talkie is size, was put in in '96, my neighbor got one recently and hers is about 1/4 the size of a cigarette in length. times have changed......jk

I experienced the same thing due to the position I was put in for my neck.

My doctor suggested I start doing squats, so I moved all the beer to the bottom shelf of my fridge.

Many years ago I had a piece of a wedge fly off and hit my thumb chipping a piece of bone off, it’s been slowly moving under the skin over time about a little over an inch. Just thought it was all bone until I had a MRI a few years ago man that thing was hurting I’m guessing a chunk of wedge is still in that chip or it’s actually part of the wedge.
