Most unions do. It's just for money deals.

I’m a union electrician. I find that the top brass pushes the a Biden Democratic stuff down our throats but 7 out of 10 of the blue collar guys still vote Republican. They make their rallies seem like big Democratic parties but in reality they are just stealing money from Republican workers and giving it to the leftist agenda. It’s basically theft.

Some big Union boss spoke at the RNC. As Deerhunter mentioned, just because the “Union” endorses a candidate doesn’t mean its membership votes for said candidate. You’d be hard pressed to find a member down here voting Democrat.

Would be curious to hear from Republican Union guys to share their thoughts on right to work. On balance, better off as Union member? Does all the benefits outweigh the negatives?

Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.

No, but they still pay their dues, which in turn go towards supporting candidates trying to destroy everything they care about.

Just give me one thing, that I can hold on to. To believe in this livin' is just a hard way to go.

Seems to me he'd sell the souls of all those around him as long as the extortion money keeps flowing

I've never had a union job, so I've never had to try to justify it to myself. Not sure I could.

My take?

Lives up to the line from the Godfather. It's not personal, just business. But he might be good to do business with.

Don't forget that Jimmy Hoffa was the teamsters boss.

Trap dog. If you work for someone else I can tell you I have always had better benefits and waged working union than non. It's been no contest in my work life. Never got close to hitting 6 figures working non union let alone exceeding it good amounts year over year. Let alone insurance as good and affordable. And still have a pension + 401 with match better than all the places I have interviewed that don't have a pension.

Typically when I interview it's 3 to 400 a month more for health insurance that is not close in coverage. Less of a match on the 401, Typically less $ on the hour and no pension and not the ot availability. So a 60 k+a year pay cut more expensive insurance for less coverage, no pension, less match on 401k. All just to get a job that I can be home everyday. Now you see why I still travel for work. Let's just say my union job has its benefits.

Now if you are running your own business that's a different situation.

But like stated above and sounds about right may 7 out of 10 in my plant will vote D and that may be generous for the democrats. Union dues go to pay the electric, water, buy paper, pay the BA, BM,secretary, mow the grass. They don't go to the political crap they push. That money come from the PAC and its deducted from people that want to support its pay check. They don't get a penny from me it's simply a paper you turn in.

Up state they are either brain dead ( cant comprehend it after its been explained on a first grade level many times) or just out right dishonest ( know but keep spreading the dishonest crap like the democrats that claim to dislike)

Left lane that Bill of rights give me the right to chose to make more than 2x the amount I can working no. Union and have many time better benefits.

I will retire at 57 and be a millionaire. Never had a non union job that would get me close to that.

And your soon to be millionaire status is due to the union or from collecting on a big insurance claim?

Not that I have been able to find union or non. Otherwise I wouldn't be working 127 miles from home.

When I was in, it was 1 or 2 cents out of my dues that went to a political fund. Not a big deal.
