United Auto Workers endorses cackles. What a surprise. Most unions do. It's just for money deals.

I’m a union electrician. I find that the top brass pushes the a Biden Democratic stuff down our throats but 7 out of 10 of the blue collar guys still vote Republican. They make their rallies seem like big Democratic parties but in reality they are just stealing money from Republican workers and giving it to the leftist agenda. It’s basically theft.

Would be curious to hear from Republican Union guys to share their thoughts on right to work. On balance, better off as Union member? Does all the benefits outweigh the negatives?

Some big Union boss spoke at the RNC. As Deerhunter mentioned, just because the “Union” endorses a candidate doesn’t mean its membership votes for said candidate. You’d be hard pressed to find a member down here voting Democrat. The teamsters union boss is who your thinking of.

No, but they still pay their dues, which in turn go towards supporting candidates trying to destroy everything they care about.

I've never had a union job, so I've never had to try to justify it to myself. Not sure I could.

It's not personal, just business. But he might be good to do business with. Don't forget that Jimmy Hoffa was the teamsters boss.

Just for the record PF, there are lots of 6 figure non union jobs with good benefits out there. Not that I have been able to find union or non. Otherwise I wouldn't be working 127 miles from home.

When I was in, it was 1 or 2 cents out of my dues that went to a political fund. Not a big deal.
