So wa son FB marketplace and noticed alot of these lil go karts for sale , y'all know the once that just use like a lil harbors freight predator motor
[Linked Image]

Anyhow see folk selling them off for like $100 and seems like somones haut trying to get rid of one every so often. Was just curious if anyone has tried taking on of these lil guys and tried making them into some little UTV deal. Nothing like a actual utv ,serious but like just running trash down to the end of the road ( having 100+ yd drive ways it's pretty common down here ) mabye pulling a lil trailer with feed buckets or something fairly light work wise. Or ...idk lifted one there mud tires on it and tried mudding with one grin
Anyone. Tried this ?

Also yes I understand this would not as practical or useful as a actual four wheeler or UTV or just using the truck you already have but figured some might have tried just for giggles

I like the predator engines for what I've used them for, building track sleds. For what you're talking about using it for, doesn't seem like a whole lot of modification would be needed. Maybe a little more clearance Clarence. A hook or some sort of contraption to grab the trash can.

I participated in the student teams building several Indy racing and off road baja vehicles in college as part of Society of Automotive Engineers' national competitions. Only thing that was constant was the B & S engines.

You have a basic frame to work with. The frame would need to be stiffened up and an actual suspension added to have ground clearance. I assume the rear drive is a solid axle. Back in the early 80's production costs were estimated at about $1000.00 of I recall. Actual costs were less due to industry donations and scrounging of materials. I don't have any pictures from back them but here is a picture from last year's entry.

Meh something I've been dealing with my whole life. Taxes ain't the worst thing int he world . Make money off the property a few different ways , use one or two of those to pay taxes / expenses. Alternative agriculture practices help. Having good tax people helps too. The out of state guys buying along with local black families not caring and selling dirt cheap makes things a bit of a pain but there's ways to handle that

Might look into a used golf cart, pretty much all set up for what you're looking for, can even get them with battery power .

Back in the day the beast to have was the cub cadet with a kohler.with standard transmission. Battery power has the same down sides as he electric cars.

Better off buying an old VW Bug and converting that! If you can find one.
