I've been invited to come up and do some late season mixed bag trapping after deer season. Just wondering what the area is like. Looks like a couple small properties so far. Looking forward to it for the experience in cold temps and some of the fur for tanning purposes. I spent several years up on the lake when I was stationed there and enjoyed some awesome bow hunting and fishing but now that I'm retired just trying to experience some out of state trapping.

bring dry dirt! trapping season has been mud season here the last few years. rain, sleet, snow, freezing during the night thaw during the day. I ran a lot of 220 buckets to avoid dealing with dirty muddy coons. Possums are thick so are the skunks. Not many folks trap here since the fur market is down. Lots of yotes too.
