I've been experiencing too many dig unders lately. I use the WCS version of the OOS and No Mol's mostly. Like all of us, I've experienced them in the past, but lately they have become more consistent. Any/all advice is greatly appreciated as to how I can cut down on them. Thanks!

Moles kinda 'swim' through the dirt. The dirt is loose enough for them to push and compact the dirt to the sides or above or below. Some moles have little to no mounds of dirt pushed to the surface. They just push it out of their way.

To combat dig unders is a mole taking the path of least resistance. Going under or around a trap is sometimes easier than going through it.

Packing and compacting the dirt around and below the trap makes it harder to bypass the trap.

Path of least resistance is the key.

No moles really don’t have dig under since there isn’t a bottom.

When moles suddenly turn off, I figure I somewhere became lazy and I start going over my sets step by step. This usually pulls things back into line.

For me when it gets hot, and the sand has not body to it (like sugar) and the mole digs under the trap I change it out for an OOS type trap. I think you cannot bed the traps like they should be. The No-mole you and put a stake in the ring to help it from moving. JMO
