Let’s see some pictures of your skinning machines mounted on vehicles. I’m sure some of you have them. I’m thinking of building one for my truck for this coming years coyote trapping trip. The coyotes I catch seem to have a lot of fat on them, if I wait to skin they are a bear to pull. And badgers are about like otters it seems.

There was a guy in Sioux Falls selling his set up but can’t recall his name. Slid into the receiver hitch of your truck. I just bought the bottom set up and rigged it to a removable eye bolt in the concrete. Just need a ceiling winch instead of the chain hoist now…..but not portable. I normally gotta thaw out the carcass anyways.

Dont really need a winch in your skinning coyotes that youve just dispatched unless you got bad hands. Most of the guys I know that skin on the line have a simple receiver hitch riser, which is what i have. with a simple cable loop or have telescoping one that's built into a brush guard.

That is what I’m thinking of, but run it off the front. Maybe a four wheeler winch for pulling.

I just sling a dog leash with double snaps over a tree limb and split the hind legs, snap a snap in each tendon just below the hock, grab and pull. I'm usually skinning them within 5 to 10 minutes, at most, of dispatch and they peel right off. Obviously this wouldn't work in country like concrete man is in, but if you are in timber country it is quick and easy.

The sooner you skin them after dispatch the easier it is, obviously if you are snaring this isn't an option and in cold weather you are likely to have to take them home and thaw them out first.
