There's quite a transition from college to pros. Give her some time and she'll be a future All Star.

As an American I'm growing tired of our ancestors being compared to the migrants of today.

Indiana was able to get her because their team sucked more than the rest. You can't expect her to throw AND catch every pass.

Some talking heads speculate that the reason she is not on the Olympic team is that the coach personally doesn't like her.

I don't think that matters anymore. Look at the pros on the US men's team.

I know, but I mean a Hall of Fame All Star unless she falls to a career-ending injury in the near future.

I don’t know how anyone can watch that kid and not think she will be one of the greatest to play the game . MJ did not set the world on fire in his rookie season !

They've been paid professional athletes for decades. Amateur athletes at the Olympics is so early 1980 's

But as for caitlin . That rookie reason doesn't fly. I loved the fact her "scrimmage" team beat the current Olympic team of men wannabes that are over there.......

I'll watch the athletes I WANT to watch. Why should all of the USA athletes get punished for a clown show put on by France and approved by the IOC? Now...if the USA does that in 2028 then yeah......I won't watch any of it. I won't watch Team USA basketball for men or women.....but track and field I will.

Good post Ltrman. I did not watch the opening ceremony, I enjoy watching most of the Olympic events. I see no reason why the athletes should boycott because of the clown show. The athletes train for years to get there. It is great to see Team USA bring home the medals.

BTW, I think my original question has been answered. I was not aware that Dawn Staley had anything to do with the selection process. I feel Clark should have been on the Olympic team.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

The WNBA is a losing venture Clark could change that but the other players are working hard to keep it a losing venture because of petty jealousy.

I find it interesting that when they say that attendance is at an all time high in the WNBA since she was picked #1, they do not mention what the attendance is at games in which she is not playing. Have any of those games been sold out in their dinky arenas?

It's like everything in the news today, only their spin on things mater.
Don't like something the media covers up the facts and the truth.

As far as turnovers, the team members are learning to expect her passes as time goes on.
They have to learn how to play with someone with her talent .
Last I heard they were turning the game around, and steadily improving.

To honestly answer this question without making it political- it's her first year in the pros and she would want to xoncentrate on that. Also, and this is unique to her, her collegiate success has not turned into professional success.

We see the same in college football.
