It seems the controversy came about when she boxed and beat a Russian athlete and their association claimed that she had XY chromosomes . But they won't share their test results and their organization has always been scandal ridden and is no longer recognized by the IOC or any other worldwide boxing organization.

There are people who have medical conditions that either produce higher than normal levels of testosterone or even produce XY chromosomes. But Imane was born the way she is. Didn't get "changed".

From personal experience, French Canadian women don't all shave their armpits or wear deodorant. Some might though. There's some beautiful French Canadian women who look like they have Buckwheat in a headlock.
