I would imagine your August coyotes have about the same hair as you December coyotes?

The night vision permit is actually like $2.50. The following is copied from the KDWP site.

Night Vision Equipment Permit, $2.50, to use artificial light, scopes and equipment that amplify visible light, and thermal-imaging scopes and thermal-imaging equipment, when hunting coyotes at night, with the following restrictions:

Use of this equipment will be permitted from Jan. 1 to March 31 only;
Use of this equipment will require a hunter to possess a Night Vision Equipment Permit, $2.50;
Use of this equipment will be permitted for hunting coyotes only;
Use of a vehicle when hunting with this equipment is prohibited;
Use of this equipment will not be permitted on department lands and waters, including WIHA and iWIHA properties.

Open season on them in Oregon, I like to go to central Oregon and trap a few on kinda a vacation from trapping the concrete jungle here in the valley. Planning on a couple weeks if it all works out right. Higher elevation nicer dogs.

Year round here, but must have a hunting license to hunt them and a trapping license to trap them. A lot of people shoot them if they see them when they are out doing something else, otherwise they are very seldom targeted by either hunters or trappers in this part of the state.

Does your State have a coyote season? Here in Georgia there’s no season for coyotes, they can be hunted or trapped 24/7/365 day or night.

We can't trap them unless fur season is open, except animal damage control

Can be hunted year round with a hunting license day and night, using lights, NV, or thermal. During big game seasons like rifle bear or deer your need to have the fur takers license which is needed for trapping. Trapping season for coyotes is from October 26-February 23. From December 26-February 23, cable restraints can be used.
