Usually can grow more cucumbers that I know what to do with.
This year, planted at least 5 times with 3 different varieties, plants came up great, but after a few inches of growth the leaves yellow and plants die or stay stunted. Everything else doing fine in the garden. What could be the problem, and solutions? Wetter than normal this year, but not crazy. Tried some with fertilizer, some without. Maybe some disease?
Thanks for any advice.

calcium deficiency

use a blossom end rot spray , wetter than normal , wet then dry , it can all lock up calcium in the soil

Unless you rotated the ground you grow the cucumbers on, you likely have borers eating the inside of your vines. Sevin Dust around and on your cucumber plants can help. Moving the garden is the best option.

We’ve had the same issues the last two seasons. A mixture of neem oil and copper fungicide applied two weeks after planting and then every 10 days or so cleared it right up. This mixture works for our tomatoes affected by wilt that we have been struggling with for several seasons. Neem oil gets the pests and the copper gets the rest.

I actually have just the opposite problem. Normally I struggle to get many cucumbers. This year they are growing like crazy. Them and he potatoes. I have never had them grow like this.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I need to be out picking cucumbers a lot more often than I am , feel like I am wasting a bunch but cucumbers and zucchini with the hot and wet , seems they go from not ready to huge in a day

if anyone needs a few baseball bat size zucchini come and pick them , I pull them off the plant and let the lay ,

My cukes were doing good and all at once they went the other way, I mixed 2 spoonfuls of epsom salts to two gallens of water and mixed up some powdered milk and put it togeather and watered them with a watering can, in two days you could see the difference. they need the calisom and maganision. I know my spelling is way off.

Did you plant them in hills, or on flat ground?

Also pull your plant and cut the root long ways and examine the water track sounds buggy to me , wilt usually doesn’t occur until it starts bearing fruit

Thanks, will check them for that.

Hit them with the calcium spray recommended by GCP yesterday.
Getting lots more rain now.

I plant mine in a row spaced about 3 to 4 inches apart. never could understand why people plant in hills unless the ground id very wet.

How long since your last soil test? Probably time for another.
