I know trapping is being limited and restricted because of this happening to bears in some ares. I hate to give the antis any more ammo

No shinned up areas on the trap

Seems something is off loose dirt isn't even knocked off trap and ground isn't tore up

Its possible, beaver show up in weird spots sometimes, espcially if theres a drought or lost a mate and its alone

Trapped a beaver out of a pond for a framer. Nearest water was a slight trickle of a creek 3/4 a mile away from that pond. Nothing but open land and some hardwoods in between

I sent the pic to a dnr biologists she said it was a beaver to I thought it belong to a bear cub.
