If your willing, please pray for the Lake County, Florida Sheriff's Dept. Friday night two deputies responded to a disturbance where a lady had reportedly hit her neighbor. When officers contacted her, she told them they should check on what was occurring a couple houses down (which was actually her residence).
As the deputies approached, they observed a door kicked in. They entered and immediately received gunfire from multiple weapons. One deputy was shot & dropped inside the residence and the other was hit in the arm, but made it back outside.
Part of the SWAT unit was on-scene within a short time and about four officers attempted entry to retrieve the downed officer. They made it to him, with ballistic shields and learned he was dead....then immediately started receiving gunfire & a lot of it. Another officer was hit multiple times in the abdomen and armpit area, but the others were able to get him and themselves back out of the residence.
Sheriff, SWAT commander, and many more officers arrived on scene and a gunfire exchange occurred. Gas was fired into the residence, but no one came out. Then, more shots were heard and then silence. Another team of officers suited up and entered the residence and found one adult male (head shot, but alive - died later at hospital) and two adult females (dead). All of them were armed with semi-auto rifles and it appeared all had been shooting and ended it with a murder-suicide pact after the gas was fired into the residence.
That SWAT commander is one of my close friends along with one of the officers that made entry to retrieve the downed officer, but had to pull back with his shot colleague. I spoke with my friend that is the SWAT commander last night. He had just left the scene and was headed home when he called me. He just needed someone to talk to that had some LE experience. He was rattled, but he's an Iraqi War vet and I'm hoping he'll be ok along with my other friend (SWAT entry officer.)
He told me it all may have been a setup to get officer to that residence. There were "a lot of guns" inside the residence (friend said more than he and I have)....which would be a lot. And a large stockpile of ammo, along with prepper meals and other similar items, including anti-governement/sovereign citizen type stuff.
The man and woman had adopted two young girls (that were now in their early 20s). To say they were all radicalized might be an understatement.
Please keep these officers and their families...and that entire agency in your prayers.
Thank you.
