I've heard she is in favor of opening a season on wolves in MN. But, she's very far left on everything else. Do any of you know any of the other republican candidates that would be a good choice to run against her?

I'm not familiar with any of the candidates on the republican side and where they stand on the wolf issue. I'd hate to vote for her just for being in favor of opening a season on wolves in MN.

Seeing as how Amy Klobuchar is a U.S. Senator and not involved in any way with getting a State season on wolves in Minnesota, I think you can, safely, vote for ANY Republican running against her.

I think, they are already there. It appears, they may be rabid, as well.

I will say this about Amy Klobuchar, she is behind outdoor sports. I attended an event with all the MN outdoor sporting groups and during her speech she spoke of trapping. I can't recall what outdoor group it was, but they smarted off in a negative way toward trapping. She stopped her speech right there and told the person that if if it wasn't for trapping, they would have far less game to harvest. She went on to say that ALL outdoor groups need to promote and support trapping. I can't say I agree with her Democratic party and agenda, but I will go on record and say she is an ambassador of trapping.

Nearly any Republican would most likely be much more of a friend to outdoorsmen and gun owners. There is a lot bigger picture than just wolf trapping. Vote for the right person and the wolf trapping issue will take care of itself.

She's had her chance to get us a permanent wolf season. Shes done nothing as far as I know. Royce White will be running against her in November. I know little about him concerning outdoor issues.

Not sure how you know for certain that Royce White will be the Republican candidate. There are 5 or 6 people on the Republican ballot. I mailed my ballot in this morning.

And she, consistantly, votes with her Democrat colleagues.

When it comes to the wolves our governor proudly announced that there will be no season while he is in office.

Interesting post Gary. Guess that makes me dislike her a lot less. She’s a shoe in to be re-elected as the Republicans aren’t even trying against her. Our Governor who was responsible for the George Floyd riots ironically probably the vice president pick. Strange days indeed.

I guess we don't get to vote for a candidate we LIKE anymore, we just get to choose the lesser of two evils.

She is no friend to gun owners and trappers.. She has done NOTHING to open wolf trapping and hunting in Minnesota. She votes with Biden and the Democrats nearly 100% of the time. Here are her view on guns when she ran her failed attempt to become the Presidential Nominee:

"As President, Senator Klobuchar will not fold. She will stand up for a safer world by:

Instituting universal background checks by closing the gun show loophole.
Banning bump stocks that can increase a semiautomatic rifle’s rate of fire to 700 rounds per minute.
Banning high capacity magazines that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.
Quickly raising the age to buy military-style assault weapons from 18 to 21 and fighting to ban the sale of assault weapons.
Providing grants to states to implement extreme risk provisions to empower families and law enforcement to keep guns away from people who show signs of threatening behavior.
Closing the “Charleston loophole” by giving law enforcement additional time to complete background checks.
Closing the “boyfriend loophole” by preventing people who have abused dating partners from buying or owning firearms.

Consider gun violence as a public health issue in CDC studies. Senator Klobuchar will direct the CDC to study gun violence as a public health issue and help identify approaches to reduce gun violence and save lives.

Crack down on gun manufacturers and dealers that break the law. Senator Klobuchar will increase inspections and strengthen enforcement to crack down on gun manufacturers and sellers that violate the law.

Prevent people with severe mental illness from acquiring guns. Senator Klobuchar will restore a rule requiring the Social Security Administration to submit records of people with severe mental illness to the FBI’s National Instant Criminal Background Check System.

Prevent federal funding from being used to arm teachers. The Trump Administration has indicated that it would consider providing federal funding to arm teachers. Senator Klobuchar will prevent any federal funding from being used for arming teachers. She ensured that this provision was included in the school safety package that was signed into law after Parkland.

Introduce gun violence legislation. Senator Klobuchar will introduce gun violence legislation including putting universal background checks in place, closing the gun show loophole, and banning bump stocks, assault weapons and high capacity magazines."

This is a very sad fact.
